"The Camino Real is an upscale chain hotel. The check in was simple, quick( our room was available before the stayed check in time) with the staff being very attentive. They offer free parking that is on the property underground with an attendant . Several attendants in groomed attire made themselves readily available to you for any need you may have. The location is within walking distance of many historic sites as well as nice restaurants. The Central Park/ plaza is a 10 minute walk . The sidewalks are very narrow and a lot of motorcycles and cars crowd the cobblestone streets . If there are clouds you might have a downpour. Get an umbrella from them to use if going out and the weather is questionable. Tuk-Tuks ,can bounce you around town cheaply.See the national gallery just off the park square, the churches, Hotel Casa Santa Domingo ( artist in resident), Casa Del Ron( rum distiller boutique store ( sip a Zacapa 23 with one cube on ice to get the feel of rum as a liquor, a good charcuterie board is served. Thirty minutes out of the city is Distrito 14 , up in the hills for a great microbrewery and bbq with views, activities and play equipment and sometimes music. Back to the Camino Real. No pool but a huge 20 person spa, no coffeemaker but coffee and tea available close to the spa. Television ,but, you either pay or access your Netflix’s or Disney account . WiFi was good and free. Great buffet breakfast (24$).Lunch/Dinner:Tipico food La Fonda de la Calle Real, Panza Verde"
