“Central location”

“Positives: The apartments are in a very convenient location above the bus station in central St. Helier. This makes it easy to travel around the island. The kitchen had all amenities needed for our stay and it is located close to shops to buy food. Staff were also friendly. Negatives Although the apartment was overall clean, the cot (for which we had to pay for) had stains all over it. We also stayed in a town-facing apartment. These have no soundproofing meaning you can hear everything...

“A marvellous chateau style hotel. Loved walking into the place with its great staircase. A bit of a distance from the the coast although a shuttle bus is provided. Good food and helpful staff….could change the menu a bit more often. Bedrooms were clean, spacious and well maintained.”

“The room was clean, the staff were very friendly. It was hot outside so the air conditioning was very welcome. The breakfast was excellent. The only thing to be aware of is that if you have a car the Pomme D'Or does not have its own car park. You have to use the car park of a sister hotel which is a 16 minute walk away.”

“We had a wonderful week. The staff were, without exception, always cheerful very helpful and obliging. The spa area was fantastic, I had a lovely massage! The location of the hotel is second to none - the bus station just around the corner. Unfortunately the price of drinks and food in the hotel was prohibitive even dearer than other restaurants in St Helier.”

“Lovely hotel, bit pricey but was rated 5* although needed few tweaks. Bathroom floor tiles cracked. Tiny toiletries had to ask for more shower gel. Apart from that room lovely, large, great bed, great aircon especially as we were there in crazy hot weather. Not a brilliant view though. Helpful staff. Breakfast great. Tricky to find hotel entrance.”

Das Hotel ist selbst ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, aber es ist alles sehr sauber und das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich. “The hotel was right on the beach which was easily accessible via steps. The sand really was golden and fine, perfect for kids. Breakfast was very good. The view from our room was great, looking over the entire bay. We kept our windows open at night to hear the waves and feel the breeze. There was no air conditioning so this was necessary on hot days.”
