"We stayed in The Caledonian, a delightful hotel in charming Ullapool. We got a room with a lovely bay window overlooking the town and harbour. The mini-bar was free, which was a very nice touch. Very clean and comfortable. Ullapool has good amenities for the tourist, quaint shops and cafes, a supermarket, a lovely bookshop. Lovely place to stay."

"The room was comfortable and a large comfy bed, nice en suite, the food was excellent big enough portions. Nice comfy settees in lounge . The manager was very pleasant and always had time for a chat. Would definitely stay here again . "

"We enjoyed our stay at the Conon Hotel immensely. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well provisioned with snacks and tea. The bathroom was modern and chic; it also held a huge bathtub and shower, both of which offered a sense of luxury and comfort. But more than the room, we loved the staff and the warm welcome they gave. We were running late for dinner, and coming upon closing time, and the manager went out of her way to save warm meals for us. We enjoyed time at the bar and enjoyed the hospitality of the locals. "

"The local people really made the stay here pleasant. They were welcoming, funny and gave us the lay of the land, giving us tips on what to do in the area and where to go. We enjoyed our time hanging out with the them. Also, the food at the restaurant here was delicious and there was live entertainment our first nights stay. The Fyrish Monument trail was nearby but it was quite a hike to get to no matter what the locals say. The Scottish are fit walkers, it nothing for the to hike the area in which they live but for us visitors this hike is steep and challenging if you are not someone who does this type of hike often. We did it and made it to the top which was rewarding. Overall, we made friends with quite a few people from our stay here and have already been in contact with them recently. We would stay here again just for the hospitality. "

"Lovely B&B in a bar/restaurant. Newly refurbed. The decor in the room was lovely and everything was very clean. Lobby area quite dated but the sea views and lovely breakfast make up for that."
