"Really nice place to stay, I'd come back for a short stay again. The full English breakfast was good, my friend thought that his pancakes were under done, the scrambled eggs were out of a packet & watery. The bar was well stocked with a reasonable selection of beers. The only downside was that they don't serve food after 1600 on a Sunday. "

"In theory this should be a great hotel however it’s so noisy at night. Should have realised when we got to the room and there were ear plugs at the side of the bed. Rooms are so hot and no air con so you have to open the windows then you get the noise. Should be told when booking that you won’t get to sleep before 2 am due to the noise of the bars around the hotel. "

"Friendly, country hotel, slightly shabby in places and chic in others but charming and super staff who go out of their way to help. We enjoyed our stay, beds were very comfortable and spa good, but we could hear floor creaking from other rooms when people were moving around. "

"A picturesque location. The staff were very friendly. Dinner was exceptional (the burger being particularly great!). Breakfast was also very good and had a nice variety."

"Nice hotel very close to the station. Room was small but nice and clean. The bathroom sink looked nice but the tap was so close to the edge of the sink I couldn’t wash my hands without water spilling over the counter top. Staff were friendly and self service breakfast was good"
