"Yes there is a bumpy 15 minute ride from the main road but the pay off is a tranquil environment to relax at Kili Villa. Our room had a lovely outlook to the gardens where local fauna and birds did their thing. The staff were welcoming and courteous, and the food was delicious. Perhaps the experience could have been improved with better communication about food and drink options when we arrived (with an explanation card). There are no other options for F&B in the area (aside from the golf club)...

"I asked them to arrange airport transport for me the first 3 times nothing was done the 4th they said it’s reserved 4 hours later I get a knock on my door if I want to reserve transport it’s more money etc… I wake up at 3 am for transport next day theres no transport arranged mass panic breaks out. "I stayed at Mount Meru Game Lodge before embarking on a 2-week safari and after 24 hours in the air. It was a wonderful place to unwind and sleep well before the trip. The location was convenient, the staff very friendly and helpful, the price was fair, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the setting was special having been a former sanctuary for game animals. Also, there was an onsite massage spa which was excellent."
