Great hotel stay with friendly helpful staff and clean, comfortable and quiet rooms. And itโs walkable to the main streets of downtown Asheville which makes it an ideal hotel to stay at. Itโs location canโt be beat.
My husband and I was there for our 1st honeymoon and 3rd anniversary because wasn't able to go have one due death and illness in both sides of our families. We had such a a wonderful and beautiful experience thay we could ever hope for!! We will be returning soon. Everyone at the hotel was super nice, genuine, and gracious to us while we were there. I would dare give this experience less than a five. The should have ten stars! If no one else will, my husband and I sure will!! Overall great experience overall! Thank you all so much for making our extra wonderful and beautiful one! โญโญโญโญโญโญโญโญโญโญWe can't wait to come back and explore and experience more of this wonderful cityโค๏ธโค๏ธ
This property is well beyond needing a remodel, it should probably be torn down. This is because it is so functionally obsolete that it would be more economical to replace the existing structure. While clean and comfortable, it just cannot get away from the fact it canโt compete with modern properties. It is an abomination that they charge premium rates for a run down obsolete property without a working pool or decent bar or restaurant. Anyone who travels knows that this place thinks itโs still in its glory days of the 1980โs. It is not. Everyone I talked with felt the same, disappointed, surprised at the price and are not coming back.
We liked its proximity to downtown, and the bed was very comfortable. The HVAC unit in the room was on the border of being too noisy, and the bar was lacking basic mixtures for cocktails.
Not as nice as other renaissance hotels but good enough. Elevators were horribly slow, not sure if they were being worked on. This spot doesnโt use Aveda which I would expect. Very walkable to downtown.
The representative when i checked in was very nice. The waittress for breakfast was sweet as can be.
The food nothing to write home about. No non pork options. Runny eggs and funny tasting hashbrowns.
Mybed seemed to be broke on one side. If you sat on the side it was like squating to stand up. The ac was not keeping the room cool. The tub did not drain. I was told could do late checkout and pay an extra 10.00 per hour after 12 till 4pm. Worked great since my daughter had a track meet starting at 4. I said i would do that in the am in case anything changed. Went to do that and was told no. Not possible. Explained i was told it would not be an issue and the lady was just like sorry not happening. Overall not a normal experience from this brand. Must just be the area
This hotel is in a great location and you can walk downtown if you'd like. The views are wonderful. We could see the mountains and the Grove Park Inn from our 11th floor window. You can they remodeled an older property because of some holdovers like an older toilet, slanting floors, etc. One elevator was down, leading to waits. But overall, a really good stay for the price. Note, you will pay for parking at this property. $30 to valet, $25 to self park. Take the breakfast if it is offered to you with your stay at a discount! It was very good and reasonable if you add it on when booking. We only paid $10.
The staff is very friendly and responsive. Carpeting in my room was dated, sliding bathroom door was off its track and one of the curtains was off its track. However, they came right away to fix the bathroom door and offered me a new room because the curtain had to come down and wouldn't be replaced that day. I also wish they had a note in the bathroom about not having to change the towels. I was only staying 2 nights and didn't need to have fresh towels. Lastly, it costs $25 per night to park your car. Seems excessive to me.
