Mixed review, because the staff we encountered was friendly and the initial appearance of the hotel was nice- cute little lobby, nicely decorated. I assumed our room would appear similar based on the pictures we saw online when booking. Our room was sadly not really up to par. While it wasnโt dirty, it was just very dingy and uncomfortable. Tile floors, terribly hard mattresses with only two uncomfortable pillows each, poor lighting, and not enough outlets. The hotelโs towel policy needs to be amended. We had 3 people in the room, we should have had 3 towels. We ended up using beach towels! The walls of our room were very thin, and the decor was justโฆ icky. Not cute, very dated. The bathroom was very basic, painted dark blue which wasnโt the best choice as it made it dim, and the mirror was too low. No coffee filters in the room or at the front desk, so the basic amenities in the room couldnโt even be used. We did use the pool and thought it was fine. We only stayed one night and Iโm glad we didnโt have a longer stay planned because for almost $200 a night it absolutely wasnโt worth it. I understand that each unit is privately owned but this hotel needs serious updating and all units should be held to the same standard as the lobby. We chose it due to its close proximity to the activities we had planned but if we were to revisit the area in the future we would most likely stay in Beaufort or Morehead City where there are better accommodations.
