“We stayed a night en route to the south, we had a comfortable, clean family room. The only thing which caught us out was paying the city tax, only 80 cents each, but we brought no Euros with us, so had to pop to the cash machine. Our host was superb, very friendly and helpful, we'll definitely stay again if we're in the area (cricket match in September maybe, even if the ball used is too small!).”

“We loved this hotel! It had so much character, beautiful gardens and was convenient to the centre of the town. Parking available beside the hotel too. There is a walk along the ramparts which takes around 50mins - 60 mins and it’s just so tranquil with lovely countryside views. Good continental breakfast available. We would definitely stay here again, highly recommend!”

“A good stay as usual. Staff friendly, food good. Being returning guests, who enjoy the village and surrounding area, are aware that if you are unable to check-in before the restaurant closes for lunch time service, you have to wait until 18.00hrs when restaurant re opens for evening service to check-in, though there is a phone number on the door. Expedia on their confirmation says you can check-in anytime from 14.00hrs.”

“Such a fantastic place to stay! Beautiful room with really comfortable beds. The pool area was amazing and super clean, with towels and bathrobes for use and changing rooms - we were lucky enough to have this to ourselves! Friendly host and clear check in instructions. A real find and will definitely want to come back again! ”
