I stayed 3 days for my wife's birthday, but the view was under construction so big noise woke my wife up and dust was everywhere outside so I couldn't open the door to balcony.
But when I checked in, nobody told me about this and I saw many people are using opposite side's elevator in next morning. It was very disappointed.
Hi
Iโm a UT Austin alumni and this was a visit to Austin after 20 some yrs with my college son. The hotel had a sense of class and its connections with the univ brought me back memories of UT days.
As for thr accommodation, it was spacious in and out and overall it was nice. However, Iโd like to mention several things as to help improve the site.
1) The room was not so quiet โ street noise and chatters from the corridor were transferred transparently.
2) The bathroom had a tint of unpleasant odor.
3) Parking charge was not mentioned โ it was $21 for two nights.
4) There was one water bottle in the room and surprisingly it was NOT complimentary โ was chrarged $5.
Except those mentioned above, the stay was overall enjoyable. I especially appreciated the excellent, friendly staff.
Easy, secure self-parking in garage at the hotel. Quiet, cool, clean hotel with everything we needed. Bed was great. Location basically on UT campus could not be improved upon. We walked everywhere from here: all over campus, Guadalupe, even to the capitol (1/2 mile).
We had a wonderful stay. This property was beautiful and the staff was amazing.

Our room was right next to the construction site. Due to the loud noise because of construction, I was unable to work or read in my room. In fact, there were no private areas to work in this hotel.
This is our 4th time staying there. Always convenient when you have things to do at UT. We didn't get the VIP perk this time for some reasons. Also there are construction activities happening next to the hotel as it is the case throughout the city these days. So can be annoying particularly if you use the parking garage or the room is located on that side of the building. Other than that our stay was as usual great. Friendly staff and housekeeping on point.
This was an amazing stay. The hotel is in good location relatively to downtown. The room was very well maintained and clean; the staff was also very helpful and friendly. I would definitely book this hotel again.
This is one of the best hotel experience Iโve ever had. Friendly, helpful and kind staff. Beautiful hotel with lots of areas to sit and relax. The room was great. Had a big balcony, comfortable bed and lots of amenities (including requested ones). Food was great at Gabrielโs and room service was excellent. I got two free cocktail drinks thanks to my Gold status with Expedia. Cute spirit store selling UT Austin merchandise. No complaints at all. Just a lovely hotel stay. Enjoyed the pool, too.
Very nice property. Polite staff. I would have given 5 stars all around except the AC was difficult to get the appropriate temp to be comfortable. Was either too cold or too warm.
Some great staff at valet & front desk especially during the week. A little less so for staff on weekends- not bad just not at the level they should be for this type of hotel.
Maybe some more customer friendly training is needed for them.
Staff at front desk Ariana was super nice. The rest of the staff were so rude and we even got kicked out early bc of a noise complaint when we werenโt loud. We also got kicked out bc we were smoking ? Then they switched it to โ we smelled like smoke , we had asked what type of smoke bc we werenโt smoking they said just smoke. They were looking for something to kick us out . Please do not come here they were so unprofessional and so rude
All good. We know the area well and it's the best hotel in the walkable area. a few little notes: 1. our room had only one glass in the bathroom and no beverage glasses, water or wine, in the bedroom so we had to have more sent. 2. the closet doors feel cheap and rattled when opened so I couldn't get dressed and out early while my wife slept the noise woke her. and 3. I forgot about a drink perk for two people until I saw this survey. It was mentioned on the ad for the booking but no one ever asked me how to or where to claim it. We did enjoy the pool, enjoy dinner with our granddaughter at Gabriels and enjoyed the view of the Tower from our room.
