"Easy to park. Wife would give it 4 stars. 6 yr old would give 5 stars for the rock climbing wall. No lift for 2nd floor rooms and would have life more space to open suitcases but overall nice place to stay."

It can be a bit inconvenient without a car, but there’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel that runs at specific times and goes to the nearest train station, Shiojiri. The owner was very kind and even offered to pick me up and drop me off at the station, and he also took me to visit the old town, Narai-juku. "Fantastic stay. Room overlooking the lake was wonderful. The staff were very helpful and always happy to help. The included bus tour of the shrines was a lovely bonus. The option of the included meals was fantastic and the meals we had over our stay were outstanding. Would recommend."

"Really enjoyed our short stay and visiting this area. Walkable distance from the station and lake. A full Japanese-style breakfast was beautifully presented with some alternatives also on offer - fruit, eggs, bacon etc. We visited in May when the hotel and Suwa generally were very quiet so we were able to enjoy the hotel facilitie - the modern reception area and onsen. Good size room with twin beds. Go for one with a lake view if possible."
