Good, clean hostel
New hostel so very clean. Staff was great and really helpful. Replied to my emails before arriving and gave me an idea of how much to pay for a taxi or tuk tuk from train station to the hostel. Called tour company for me and helped sort out details for the tour. I booked a deluxe dorm room but the room didn't have a window so it was dark. Since I was out most of the day that was fine for sleeping and actually felt nice and cozy. Bed was very comfortable. Large bathroom with plenty of sinks, shower stalls and toilets. Unfortunately, by night time the women's bathroom got pretty messy so it could use a late sprucing up. About 15 minutes walk to Kaosan Road but there are many more interesting neighborhoods close by to explore. Hint, if going shopping at Siam Square or MBK Mall take the canal taxi. For 9 bhats it's much nicer than getting stuck in traffic in a taxi or tuk tuk. Breakfast is toast, jam, cookies and tea but they have other food and coffee you can buy. 7-11 is down the street along with plenty of restaurants. Hung out in the lounge and met some other travelers and did some fun things with them like going to a rooftop bar, eating Indian food and walking around Kaosan Road area.
