Key pickup was at anothe location which we weren’t aware of until check in. Hot water wasn’t working or we weren’t advised how to turn it on. We reached out via Expedia but no response. There was a glitch that said their would only be one twin bed instead of the 4 we asked for. The area was nice and three house keys were useful. Probably not worth the price though.

Room was clean and comfortable. Location was also good. Check in was like no other I’ve experienced. Had to wait for about 15 minutes outside just to have to walk to another building to retrieve the keys to the building. Worst part was leaving. I was unable to open the door to the building meaning I was stuck inside. Safety hazard, literally couldn’t get out imagine a fire would have happened. If that wouldn’t have been an issue I would have rated this spot a 5/5 but safety is very important.

The place is fairly basic accommodation, but has a few real flaws. One is lack of real window, only translucent glass at the bottom of wall in the living room. Another problem is the shower cabin - not suitable for anybody plus size, the opening is non-standard size, so if your body is larger in any dimension, you have to become a contortionist to get inside, another issue is the kitchen equipment - on the surface you have everything, but it was clearly supplied by somebody without real cooking experience - e.g,, no scrubbing cloth/sponge for dishes, or spatula in the tool kit, just little things making your eggs or whatever a bit harder to make. Lastly, there is a ventilation issue, bathroom has a buildup of septic odor during day or night, only going away if leaving the light on. This odor seems to be Barcelona’s issue in general, as same smell was noticeable on the streets as well anywhere I went.

Everything was perfekt. The check should be improved. The keys were in a building which was 1 km away from the apartment which was quite trying. Other than that everything was perfect

Climatisation, balcon, lits confortables très appréciés. Facile de marcher jusqu’au transports en commun, magasins et restos. Propreté laisse à désirer, Toaster brisé, quelques tuiles du plancher à reparer. Nous n avons pas aimé le changement d adresse à la dernière minute. La photo ci jointe n est pas dans le logement loue.

The property was awful to find. It was down an alleyway and the numbers were not marked clearly on the building. There was no elevator like there said there was. We were not told which apartment we were staying in and had to figure it out. Had to climb 4 flights of turning narrow stairs with luggage. Inside the apartment was nice enough. The worst thing was we got mugged right outside the building trying to find it. During the mugging I got pushed down on the concrete. We spent the next day in the hospital and I ended up with a fractured pelvis. Our trip was cut short by a week due to this. I would not recommend this apartment as it is not in a safe location. Barcelona is beautiful but unfortunately their crime rate is high and nothing is done about it.

⸻ La experiencia fue muy negativa. La comunicación con el anfitrión fue nula, nos dieron direcciones erroneas luego tuvimos que caminar a llegar a otro lugar. el lugar no era lo que parecía el aire acondicionado no enfriaba en fin no todo fue una buena experiencia.

The apartment was fine. It has the charm of an older unit. It also had three bedrooms which was nice. Bathroom was good too. Overall the apartment was good. The area surrounding the apartment was OK in the daytime but really sketchy at night. I originally though that I was reserving a unit near the Sants train station so we could easily walk upon arrival and departure. Instead we were assigned a property near the Mercat Nau metro station, much further away. Coming home at night from that station felt unsafe. Leaving early morning at departure was also unsafe. Random men (looking like thugs) hanging around the benches near the ramp to the metro. I was with my wife and 2 daughters and we came back through that metro station late night after dinner 2 times. It's a long dark walk back to the property. The other issue is that there is bad cellular signal (for my USA roaming mobile) and the apartment WiFi does not reach the street. One night we stood there at 1:30AM waiting for someone to come out as the app to open the door would not work. Luckily they did. I would suggest some kind of a dial pad at the building entrance (at least for safety). Overall the unit itself was fine and we were comfortable but the area is not too good.
