“It is a beautiful property, and I always have an excellent stay.
The breakfast in the morning is good and the food for dinner in great.

“The Duke of Edinburgh hotel was a gem. I don’t know the history of the building but it’s older; that doesn't mean bad. They have done a great job of renovating the rooms, or at least ours was. It was one of the best rooms we’ve had on our trip. We also had dinner and a breakfast while there and the food at the restaurant/pub was excellent. It’s a short walk from the train station and I would recommend it for your stay.”
“Decent for the price, breakfast selection hardly a buffet, only option being individual pots of what makes up an English breakfast. Rooms spacious yet walls very thin and the light from under the door is noticeable, staff were somewhat attentive .”
“Was told restaurant was open for people with dogs when we booked but it was not.
Only limited bar menu available and only until 8pm.
We were forced to go elsewhere”
“Loved this place, a little out of Cartmel but liked that, pleasant evening stroll into town, great view across the racecourse, well looked after hotel, plenty of parking
Points to improve could do with some car chargers but thats a minor point, will be back”
