We had an amazing time at Palazzo Rivola. It's in the old city (City Alta) and it's such a beautiful city. There is an unbemanned reseption, but that is not a problem. 2 min to check in. Beautiful room. Great breakfast. We are so satisfied.

A quiet, serene spot, right in the old city of Bergamo. There's a lovely, calm garden area, and our room was bright and welcoming, Though the bathroom wasn't en suite, it was private and spacious. It was a bit odd to not interact with any staff (there is an electronic check-in process), we didn't have any issues so there was no need to contact anyone. Very close to lots of restaurants and cafes and beautiful sites to explore.

It felt like borrowing the apartment of distant, Italian family. We felt very welcome and the staff was incredibly warm and helpful. We will return if we're ever going back to Bergamo. Travelling with two very small children, it would’ve been nice to know about the amount of stairs in advance. Same if you have any disability, I suppose.

Located in the old town in a quiet street but a few minutes walk from shops & restaurants. Spacious room & modern large bathroom. Communal lounge & garden area. Loved the peace and quiet. The church bells are very present, but they are quiet after 10 PM and do not start until 7:30 AM. There is no elevator, so be aware if you need one. Parking is on premises. That was not very clear to us so we ended up dropping our luggage off on the lowest floor. If you go to the parking address first, you’ll end up one floor higher! 😂 The breakfast was fine, the cappuccino was amazing, served by a very nice young gentleman.
