Excellent hotel retaining the character of its origin as a tavern. Hotel service was excellent as was the restaurant, which was featuring a March Madness prix fixe menu. Room was well appointed and clean.
Overall, very good experience. A nice and comfortable room. Very friendly and helpful staff.
This is an old building and there is no elevator. No issues with parking. You can hear passing trains if your room faces the train station.

Thank you for such a nice stay. We were only in town for one night for a funeral and your staff was so friendly and warm!
This is a cool place to stay. Historic building (complete w/ basement speakeasy), convenient location, across street from train station. Friendly, accommodating front desk staff; charming, comfortable rooms; and top notch bar and restaurant with polite, efficient service. We'll be back!

Great room. Nice staff. Beautiful and quiet for Christmas.
We had a lovely stay here! The staff could not have been more accomodating and the rooms were quiet with very comfortable beds. The bathroom in the room was modern and spotless. We had a great "happy hour" dinner out on the terrace with delicious small plates and wine tasting flights. Will definitely stay here again!
I had a wonderful stay at the Bernards Inn. Angel on the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. I was made to feel like a valued guest. The room was quiet and spacious. The Inn has lots of character and charm.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Angel was very friendly, pleasant and helpful. The roomwas very comfortable. I will return.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The Bernards Inn is desperately in need of a renovation or refresh. The carpets are old and stained. The bathrooms look like they were updated in the 1970s. And I think the pillow was that old as well. Staff were friendly and courteous and the lobby was nice.
I had a room on the top floor facing Rt 202 and the train station. The room was small but so cute and very clean, I loved it. The only complaint was the fact that I could hear the street traffic and train horn throughout the night…did not sleep well but the room was A+
I stay at the Bernards Inn when I travel for work. The rooms are lovely, and the staff are friendly and supportive. I can't recommend this place enough.
