One opportunity for improvement would be to make sure that the payment terms are clear from the start.
Hotels.com told us that we had paid 50% up front when booking but we had to pay 100% of the cost upon arrival.

"Lovely accommodation in a beautiful area though we were on foot backpacking and unfortunately there was no evening food available so we didn’t eat as it was a walk back into town.
Nice area to explore either walking or cycling and was very close to walk to the ferry on Rursee to go on to Rurburg. "

"I was looking for inexpensive lodging in the Huertgen Forest Battle area and this was it.Great location near big lake/dam,nice views from my balcony .Room quite dark and basic but clean -strong chemical smell from shower /toilet room.
Generally a bit tired but great location,free parking in front for me and friendly host "
