The breakfast was basic and they are highly understaffed. Housekeeping did not clean our room. I did love the room though. It was awesome. I appreciated the full size refrigerator and the stove!

Make sure you have 69 bucks extra they charge and then release after you leave. Also our tv wouldnt work and smelled of mold. Then they switched our rooms and still smelled bad. Tv worked then didnt had to have staff come in to fix it. Pool was ice cold and sauna felt room temp. Might be good for conference center but not for a small vacation place!

This hotel has quite the vintage charm throughout the entire place! The lobby was very inviting and the staff was courteous and helpful. Check-in was a breeze, and the decor was top-notch! The ambiance had a great feel of antiquity and a semblance of the original aesthetic appeal from the 1900s. It is not a normal hotel and you'll feel that from the moment you park until you enter your room. In our room was a chandelier, victorian painting hanging on our wall, as well as the very modern flatscreen TV, a coffee bar/closet area, and bathroom with a rainfall shower. There was a nice, large pool and hot tub in the hotel. Everything was clean and elegant. It is most definitely a place my family will visit again!

We came down to use BlooNo as our home base for the eclipse. The breakfast was good as long as you got there early. The pool was glacial but refreshing. The staff was amazing and really went above and beyond. We will be back!

Constantly smelled like pine-sol, hardly anything worked in the exercise room. The room was dated, the TV had 500 useless channels, all were dated and no local channels available. Very disappointed

It looks beautiful from the outside, but that’s where it ends. The entrance needs to be swept and there is a musty smell in the entire place. I was so disappointed. Our friend started coughing because of the stale smell in their room. We probably won’t be back unless you raise your standards.

I guess the hotel in on a two year renovation plan, so I won't be too harsh. However, the beds were not the most comfortable I've slept on and the water pressure was lacking. Breakfast was good.

The property needs some updating. Rooms had old dirty chairs and the bathroom floor was sticky and not clean. Staff was excellent and helped with replenishing coffee and trash bags. The manager even helped me with the TV.

The hotel has a really cute aesthetic that I really liked! The location is perfect and parking was very easy. My biggest complaint was that my bathroom wasn’t fully cleaned upon arrival. I noticed there was used up soap bars on the bathtub. It wasn’t fully restocked with towels. The TV remote wasn’t working.

Rooms are being remodeled. Calk on floor in room...gross. carpet needs to be replaced. Beds are old mattresses with metal frames! Breakfast good. Pool and hot tub awesome. There was no sauna. Daytime front desk staff, a blonde girl, was cold and distant. Had late check out at 1 pm. Mexican man kept knocking on our door asking when we were leaving, so clearly front desk didn't tell housekeeping we had late check out...very annoying.

We liked the setting, style, and cleanliness of the facilities. We are very displeased with the hot tub experience!! Before finalizing the online booking I called the hotel to specifically ask about the hot tub condition and availability; I was assured the hot tub was open and available. However, when we woke up and went to the hot tub the next morning it was "closed for maintenance" and when we asked we were told it would not be open until 2 pm (well after check out time)! This was really important to us and unfortunately was a huge disappointment for us and offset the positive aspects of the property!! If the maintenance was scheduled, whomever answers the reservations line should be aware of that and signs should be posted so that we would have known when we checked in! Huge disappointment!!!

The property was so out of date. It was dingy and felt diry. The room lacked a closet to hang anything. The room lacked proper outlets for charging phones or plugging in a Cpap machine. The kitchenette was redundant with a second refrigerator and microwave in the main space. The excessive cost of $429. Per room per night was the final insult. I would not recommend this place.

Time has taken its toll on this hotel. Our room; bathroom was remodeled with a big rain shower head and hand shower attachment. Unfortunately the water pressure was not adequate to support the fixtures. No bath towels when we checked into our room and we did not check in early. The queen size bed was very soft and the (3) pillows lumpy. All the wood furniture surfaces were sticky, heat/ac unit was loud and did not hold a consistent temperature in the room. Common areas were old, needed repairs and paint. This hotel could have been in the movie Somewhere in Time. The building and grounds are just to old and the cost to make repairs to overwhelming. Might be time to demolish and start over.

I had an excellent 5-night stay in the premium king suite. It was VERY clean, comfortable and spacious. The decor and shower were particularly stylish. There were a couple of odd things like the stove giving error messages from time to time, and there's only half of a glass panel in the shower, so water would slash onto the floor. These were minor, and I loved the room overall. Would definitely stay in this same suite again.

We enjoyed the antiques and the castle like venue. The free breakfast was good. The workers were always helpful. and now they have rooms that accommodate you sweet doggies so they can come with you. Very enjoyable trip. :)

We stayed in room 110, pool level. It was a beautiful hotel, once my spouse and I have our actual wedding, we definitely have this hotel in mind, the colors and theme of the lobby is definitely my taste/style, I felt like I was in a castle. I loved the chandeliers, land scape, and even though we didn't use valet parking during this stay, it's definitely fast and convenient. Overall I was very satisfied with stay.

When I arrive, the person attending me was very helpful. Patient and honored my request next when I arrived at my room I was happy to see that there was No carpet which I loved. I was very satisfied and plan to return the next time I visit Bloomington Illinois. The reason I didn’t check the box as being safe it’s because you always have to be aware of your surroundings so that you will be safe. I hope you understand that.
