"This is a charming little place--a motel from yesteryear that has been refurbished. The biggest sales point for me is that it is completely out of the town of Luray (although close enough to go to town for food) on the road to Shenandoah National Park. The setting is rural and idyllic and very quiet. The second main draw is that the office manager is the best I've ever experienced at communicating with guests, almost to a fault. We received numerous e-mails before our arrival and again during our stay and after we left. No misunderstandings here! Our room was clean and comfortable enough. I think the main drawback was that rooms are long and exceedingly skinny, so there's barely enough room to navigate around the beds. Our bathroom (the end part of the thin rectangle) was so small, that my husband couldn't shave and I couldn't blow dry my hair in front of the bathroom mirror, because the space was literally too cramped to lift our elbows. We managed, but we probably wouldn't come back unless we planned to stay only one or two nights."

"Bare bones but absolutely clean. Staff was very friendly. Not a lot of extras, but quiet well maintained. No art on the walls was somewhat off putting. Overall I would say it was a good deal."

"The condos are roomy and comfortable. Unfortunately when checking in you are forced to go get your parking pass at a desk where staff is trained to bully you into future booking and won’t give your parking pass until you get very firm and tell when you will not prepay for a future stay you don’t have planned. They are not polite when you give your final decision, it’s very uncomfortable."

"The room was very clean and larger than expected. It would have been nice to have more than 2 hangers in the closet. Our room was on the first floor, closest to the front desk and to the door to the stairwell, so there was quite alot of noise after "quiet" hours and before 7 a.m. Just wish it had been quieter in order to get a good (two) night's sleep. I might stay again, but would request a room on the upper floor."
