I liked the rustic aesthetics of the resort and that it is relatively close to Alona Beach and the airport. The ocean view rooms are very nice, you can walk straight onto the beach and into the water off the porch. As far as the negatives, not really a big deal, but the main pool is a bit small for the size of the resort. The day pass is very affordable in my opinion and a lot of people take advantage of it so it can get somewhat crowded at times. Also, for a 4.5 star resort, I think the furniture in the rooms should be improved. Great resort overall, would stay there again.

i love everything!..the property ; ( toiletries is not that great but it’s fine… we brought our own) Garden and lawns are kept clean and well trimmed. the restaurant is fine although they could improve the menu. the nightly entertainment is awesome! the staff are nice and very accommodating. the whole place is excellent!

South Palms is an awesome place to relax. It’s not overly populated, peaceful and staff are great! One thing I enjoyed the most was the massage. The therapists were all great and friendly plus a wonderful view to savour after the treatment. The room was nice but the aircon inside our room was not as strong as my children’s room. An exhaust inside the bathroom would be a good addition 😁 Overall, it was an amazing stay! I can recommend this place to my family and friends.

I always love the place, however front desk staff were not effucent and had poor coordination. The failed to pick up my husband from the airport after all a series of email regarding his flight . In addtion, our villa suppsed to be private and they allow people to use tge beach gammock by some srunk customer

The good: free water sports like kayaking and paddle boarding. Good service at the bar. The beach is nice. Concierge staff were very courteous. Food was decent. The bad: they told me they didn’t have space for a single person at the restaurant after checking and that they would call me if they could accommodate. Ridiculous for the price you pay to stay here. There were many open seats but I guess they wanted to save them for groups that probably never ended up coming. They owned the mistake the next day and the manager or whoever I talked to was very courteous in trying to smooth things over. Damage was done though, I felt like I wasn’t valued. The pool was super crowded. The bathroom design was not to my liking, after a shower there was water everywhere. Called a tuktuk from the front desk once and it took 20-25 minutes versus the 5-10 they told me. Maybe they are too busy to ensure good service, but things happen. I don’t think anything was malicious but the restaurant reservation thing put a sour taste in my mouth. Overall, some good. Some bad. But I wouldn’t stay here again. I paid less for Bohol Beach Club and it was much nicer in every way except for the water sports cost money. The food, rooms, resort, and service was much better there.

South Palm is an excellent place for vacation. It is quiet and the rooms were very clean in fact they make sure that you have a clean room all the time that they clean it 2x/ day. Never seen one with this service. The buffet breakfast in the morning was very good with variety of options for you to choose. They even offered to pack your breakfast when you go for day trip isn’t that amazing. The staf were all respectful and treat you well for all your needs. Their beaches were well maintained. They have staff that clean the sides of the beach each morning. I love their massage the therapist were excellent they do a very good cnn job and maintain your privacy. Over all this is the place to unwind and enjoy your vacation very done.

We stayed at South Palms, now Oceanica, 8 years ago and enjoyed our stay then and still loved the place. Every staff were friendly and professional and were always willing to assist no matter what it was we needed. Due to the paying public being allowed access during the day, it was busier than normal. However, it wasn’t a deterrent for us enjoying ourselves. The location is amazing with long stretch of white sand beach for everyone to enjoy! Definitely will be returning to this place when we visit Bohol.
