Very welcoming and friendly host who went out of his way to work around my schedule. Comfortable room and bathroom with amazing views from the terrace. Excellent location in central Bologna too.

We had a short stop over in Bologna and stayed here. it was within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. Carlo made us feel home and we enjoyed espresso on the balcony in the morning with a beautiful view of the rooftops.

It’s on a quiet street, but close to everything. Check in went smoothly, we just rang the bell and there the host was to give us the keys and help with the luggage. He gave a lot of good advice about attractions to visit and made us a great breakfast every day as well. One warning: lots of stairs, no lift.

We stayed at Residenza Palazzo Marchesini in late April/early May 2025 and loved it. The property is well located and provides easy access to anywhere you wish to go in historic Bologna. Carlo is an amazing host - he was very kind and generous in sharing local information and steering us to some great restaurants and sites to see. We absolutely loved Bologna and would definitely like to return someday. Thanks Carlo!

Carlo is an excellent host. From greeting you, to helping park your car, to carrying your bags, offering a welcome drink and appetizer, and having a beautiful breakfast spread every morning and more! You can tell he’s very passionate about his BnB and about Bologna.

This is an exceptional place, full of character. Thoughtfully appointed, immaculately clean and very quiet and comfortable. Carlo, the proprietor, was wonderful---friendly, very helpful and lots of fun to talk to . He even lugged our bags up to the apartment, which is on the top floor with a terrace and great view. If you want to talk to a "real" Italian, this is the place for you! One word of warning: the Palazzo dates from the 15th century and has no lift , so the stairs are not for the faint hearted. That said, my husband and I are in our 80's and thought it worth the effort.

Carlo is a wonderful host! He provided a map and recommendations for our short stay in Bologna, including dinner reservations. The B and B is full of beautiful Italian antiques that provide a lovely ambiance. The views from the terrace and rooftop are unmatched. Carlo joined us for an after dinner drink and told of the area. He made a wonderful breakfast for us before our departure.

Der Gastgeber Carlo war sehr freundlich, gab uns gute Ratschläge und ging auf unsere Wünsche ein. Sein Aperol Spritz war einsame Spitze. Die Terasse war wunderschön (auch mit entsprechender Aussicht)
