Beautiful hotel in a great location. Walking distance to many local attractions, boutiques and dining venues. Very clean rooms and common areas. Each guest room is unique in its own historical way. Beds are extremely comfortable. Onsite restaurant was wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel anyone staying in the Salem/Beverly/Marblehead/Swampscott/Peabody area.

Loved the old charm of this hotel. The staff is helpful. Some of the items in the hotel could be updated while still keeping the old charm. For example, the door handle on the bathroom was old and ready to fall off and the fixtures and window was very old. Overall, it was a good stay and I'd stay again.

The Hawthorne never dissapoints! Whenever im in Salem, this is my first choice. The rooms are always clean, comfortable and charming. The food options are incredible and worth the money spent. I have never come across a staff member anywhere in the hotel that isnt polite and or helpful or courteous. Well worth the money and experience.
