“The rooms were lovely and well appointed. The linens were not soft, but the beds were clean and the mattress was very comfortable. The lounge chairs have no cushions and it made it difficult to spend time at the pool sunning. I was told by the manager they have been ordered. The rooftop could use more furniture aside from two benches. All in all, it was a fun few days despite cloudy weather and a drizzly day. No fault of the Shalimar Resort.”

“The room was a good size, with a fridge and microwave. Having a guide for the TV channels was helpful. There are so many good points--great location right on the beach, a tiki bar, hammocks, and an on-site restaurant. We enjoyed every minute we were here--the staff made us feel like we were very much appreciated guests.”

“This was our second stay at Driftwood Inn and we enjoyed it as much this time as the last! Property is immaculately cleaned, comfortable and has everything we need. The beach is a short walk away and the included cart, umbrellas and beach chairs make it easy to enjoy your time relaxing in the sun. Highly recommend this property for your beach time!”

“This was the most beautiful place I have ever stayed at on vacation if you were ever on Sanibel Island this is the place to be. It’s very quiet. Everyone has their own little cottage thing and it’s decorated like a tiki hut village. It’s very cute. The air conditioner worked amazingly it was just a beautiful place to stay. It was very well priced and the staff was amazing.”

“I stayed at this property with my husband for almost a week. Super quick walk to the beach from our room and the hotel provides chairs and umbrellas. Our favorite amenity was the bikes that they let you check out. We rode the bikes all over the Island and it was wonderful. The staff refreshed our towels every day while we were out so that was really nice to come back to. The only negatives are that there was only 1 mirror in the room and it was in the bathroom and the TV was hard to navigate at...

“The front desk people were fantastic: Yvonne, Tori and Daniela. Breakfast was very good and the suite was very clean, spacious and had everything that one needed. In addition, the suite was an absolute bargain! 500 sf with a kitchen and separate bath and bedroom for half the sf at a neighboring hotel. I can highly recommend this Residence Inn on Summerlin, Ft Myers/Sanibel Gateway.”

“The property and amenities were great! Several choices of bars and restaurants. The hotel itself felt a bit dated, which is the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars, but it was good enough, given the convenience of having so many amenities right there on the property. I would stay there again! It is a great spot for families. The pool and pool bar were fun.”

“All in all, the stay at Margaritaville in Fort Myers Beach was amazing! The only negative thing I would have to say is that the food and drinks were a bit on the expensive side.”

“There was an old dried wash cloth left in the shower when we checked in. The next day, the room was cleaned, trash was not emptied, old towels were removed but not replaced. Also saw a lot of baby roaches around the room. Was not warned about the loud music from the tiki bar late at night (room was right above the bar). Would have been nice to have a discount for food at the tiki bar restaurant instead of yukatan. It is very close to the beach. That’s the only reason I chose it.”
