"Convenient location in downtown Rockford. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, walking paths. Parking is on-street or a nearby lot. Note that the hotel restaurant is not open Sunday and Monday. Clean rooms and comfortable bed but it we were not able to cool the room adequately."

"I just needed the room to get a little rest between a concert and an early morning flight. The location was very convenient for getting to the airport and also very easy to find. The only part that I might count as a downside is the architecture of the building. Just meaning that I was trying to sleep and could hear the sound of footsteps on the upper floor for most of the night. Not like there is much that can be done to add sound damping between the upper and lower floors but other than that, the room was plenty big. The bathroom was small but good enough for a single person."

"I recommend this hotel if you are looking for a bargain place to stay in the Grand Rapids area. You have to have some patience, as it is an older Hotel and they are doing their best to upgrade it and maintain it. They may need a better maintenance staff, but they are very gracious and helpful. There will be things that don’t work quite right, but I can live with that. For me to have access to Grand Rapids with an a 10 or 12 minute drive it’s worth all of it. If you are not super fussy and you just need a place to yourself to crash for a while. It’s perfectly fine. I feel safe and a family run business."
