“The Belfry trades heavily on its famous name, but the experience doesn’t justify the premium price.
My room was clean but very dated, with no air conditioning and only a noisy fan that made sleeping difficult even before the real issue started.
The biggest disappointment was the late-night noise. Guests drinking on the terraces created a constant level of shouting and disturbance that was completely at odds with what you’d expect from a luxury golf resort. I booked expecting a peaceful night...

“The gym was exceptional for a spa hotel and the breakfast was very pleasant however we did find that the hotel itself was quite dated and the rooms were in need of a bit of updating. The bathroom especially could use some modernization.”
