Dear Dianne,You booked a room for your son Mitchell, when you came here with your son for check-in, you told Us that every accommodation is so expensive, and Kookaburra inn was a reasonable with private room. You knew that it was a hostel type accommodation with shared shower/toilet/kitchen when you booked for your son. Mitchell told Us that he enjoyed staying at our Kookaburra Inn. I don't think this is nice to write a review like this where yourself did not stay and things that you already knew. We have lots of good things.., inc individual bar fridge, aircon/heater unit, free strong wifi etc. Once you start looking negative things, you will not be satisfied, and should stay at the hotel quality accommodation. And also lot of places (it's normal) are taking security deposit and we have advertised, so guests knows when they book a room.Hope you can find a accommodation that suits you more in future!Thank you!

Dear Guest,We feel sad that you were not satisfied with our facilities. We have advertised that we have no TV, but we do have free WIFI and all the guests are happy with the strength of our free WIFI. yes, we don't have an onsite parking, but we can issue a street parking permit (5/day) and it's been advertised to request the permit prior to arrival. We have 4 showers/toilets and cleaned in the morning and regularly. Hi Chris,We were not able to check you in because you did not have any ID. Without a valid ID, non of the accommodation in AUS will allow you to check-in. It's clearly written in the terms and condition that we do require valid ID for check-in. And we have offered you to check-in with holding security deposit, and you have refused it. Sorry, there was no way we were bale to help you.Thank you!

Dear Guest,We feel sad that you were not satisfied with our facilities and didn't meet your expectation. We spend lot of time cleaning the room and make sure the room is clean. Also do carpet water/steam clean time to time. There can be some marks that can not be removed, but doesn't mean it's dirty. We have a room with wooden floor (no carpet) and we offered you, but sadly you were not interested. Dear Cameron,All the accommodations require valid photo ID, and we have clearly stated that we do require ID for the check-in and I am sure that your are aware of it when U made a booking. When you lost your ID, you should have contacted Us to organize some way of possible check-in...this is all other guests do when some unexpected things happen.We have offered you a check-in with holding security deposit (less than 1 night) and you have refused it. Yes office door was closed due to security (doesn't mean that staff is not in), and we have left a note saying 'door is closed due to security, please ring the bell for attendance'. On the day you stayed had a big concert and next cheapest room was 380-400 in city area. You have paid just above 100 and expect the place and amenities to be 400-500. If you were unhappy about cleanness and service, I'll take your advice, but you just want Us to have 400-500 per night hotel quality amenities. If you wanted to have more amenities and bigger room, then U should have paid next cheapest room (400/night) as we and they provide all the description of room and places.We try really hard to understand, fare and reliable, but this is way too far...please Ryan you are not welcome here.thank you!

Dear Aydan,We understand that your are frustrated about the delay in getting back the security deposit. We have refunded the security deposit straight away (using eftpos) on the day that you have checked out. It's the bank's process to put the money back into your account and we have clearly explained to you (can be straight, and may take up to 3 business days depending on the bank's process)... and as you know sometimes banking process in AUS can be bit slow and it does take 3 days. You have rang Us one day after (within 24hrs of refund process) and sorry but there was nothing much we could have done at that point. If we have done something wrong, we are more than happy to take your comments, but please do not blame Us for the thing that we have not done wrong.Hope the refund process is now cleared.
