No Air conditioning in bedroom, only in the living room and as the sun was on the bedroom side all afternoon it really heated the room up and made it a bit difficult too sleep as the aircon never got into the bedroom, there was a ceiling fan but it didn’t do too much! That’s the only complaint, other than that, great place and location and would come back again!! Maybe when it’s not so hot though!!

We stayed in 1501 for 2 nights. The reception staff were very friendly however due to the room, we wouldnt stay again. Cheap price however a little misleading with the description of the room. Aircon was not in the bedroom. In order to have aircon in the bedroom you would need to leave the door open for the lounge room aircon to flow into it after a period of time. Leaving the door open created a significant amount of light in the early hours of the morning. The curtains in the bedroom werent block out either so they let a lot of light in too. Additional to this, a couple hours after being there, the aircon decided to imitate a waterfall all ober the tv, set top box, cabinet and floor. I phoned afterhours and they said they would advise maintence and call me back. Never heard back. 5 hrs later (after our event), i call again and they had no idea if someone had come out but would get the manager to call me back. Never heard from the manager. We moved the tv into the bedroom due to risk of water damage and set up a heap of containers for any future leaks (did not occur again). Top it off, we werent real pleased that the kitchen sink handle came off, the toilet roll holder was not stable, the shower handle was loose, the leather couch was filthy, there were no extra blankets and no tissue box (allergy people). We are a little more prissy than most but price and location was good.

Thank you for your review - we appreciate the constructive critisism and receiving notice about the mentioned maintenance issues; we rely on our guests to give us feedback about any loose taps and fittings that we are not aware of until we are told, so thank you for giving us the chance to correct these issues for the next guests :) The one bedroom apartments have only the need for one airconditioner - living in the building myself in a one bedroom apartment it takes only a few minutes to have the entire apartment cool by turning the aircon on but we are sorry that the leak happened out of the blue when we were also booked out for R&B Friday's and could not relocate you to another room as we normally would have done. We may think about supplying more blankets and packs of tissues to the apartments in the future so thank you for the suggestion :) We hope that you were still able to enjoy your time here and thank you again for leaving some feedback :) Kind regards, Coby Hotel manager

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review :) I am really happy to know you enjoyed the apartment and the location - I live here myself and I believe it's the best location in Brisbane to be situated! In regards to the parking issue, I assume that you arrived outside of office hours - if parking was not requested prior to arrival, it makes it a bit hard to organise this, but when I am informed by the after hours team that someone forgot to organise parking, I do my best to sort it out for them - I wish I had of known that you needed parking! When you say" issue", do you mean that you did pay the $25 one-off parking fee to use the parking but then there was a problem with our car-park, which is managed through Secure? If this is the case, I email Secure's customer complaint team with details of any of our guests' issues resulting in having to pay for parking, to get this refunded as soon as possible. On every occasion they have been able to refund this. You can still get in touch with me as soon as possible and if you have a receipt or even a screenshot of the transaction on your phone etc, I will request a refund for you. As this review was left anonymously, I'm unable to look into your file to see what happened with the parking, and unable to contact you, so I do hope you read this reply. The check-in staff at reception on our arrival were very friendly making us feel welcome from start to finish. Excellent service. Would highly recommend this property, all amenities were available to us in a very modern and comfortable apartment within walking distance to many up beat cafes and restaurants in The Valley.

The apartment was perfect, position fantastic and lots of close by eateries and shops. The James St Markets was unbelievable. Will definitely be back. I would recommend the apartments to my friends.

No one at reception, despite it meant to be serviced from 9:00 to 5:00 pm Getting into the place was a nightmare with no one at reception, trying to work out how to get into the car park was difficult, given you had no instructions. Using the lifts without instructions again a headache, as no instructions. Calling the number of reception and the phone not being answered was frustrating, as I could not get into the building and had to sit around and wait. The view from the room was a terrible, the room was not serviced for the week. I cannot recommend staying, not organised enough. All week, I did not see the reception open. I had to drop the keys off in a box in the foyer, due to no one at reception. Not at all impressed with this place, never again for me.

Hi Peter, Sorry to hear of your troubles with the parking whilst staying here - I thought we had made amends when we included your parking for free for any confusion you experienced. Our carpark has a sign at the entrance, advising guests to park & see reception to check in. There is also a ten minute bay out the front that you are welcome to park in whilst checking in. The entrance doors are automatic during office hours. We include a parking map with a diagram as well as detailed instructions on how to use the parking with your parking vouchers, however, hearing your dismay with this, I will make it a priority to review the instructions & see if we can make it a little easier to navigate :) Apologies for the office being unattended with my sign up advising "Out of Office but in the Building - Please Call to Check in", with my mobile number and the office number I divert lines to. All of our guests checking in's keys and car passes are in envelopes in the locked safe - when I receive a call from a guest checking in, I am able to assist with the quick and simple check in process of typing the code into the safe and retrieving the envelope. I am the only one in the office most days - I leave the office for my break and when things get a little busy with all of the back-end involvement of managing the hotel-apartments, I find it necessary to step out of the office and accomplish what is needed from my home office. I am surprised to read 'all week the office was unattended'. I mentioned that I am generally the only one there, by myself and I don't recall taking any time off recently - regardless, apologies that you experienced a negative impact on your stay due to the car parking instructions and the office sign being up due to a very much needed lunch or step out of the office. Great location and price
The location was perfect, close enough to walk everywhere but not too noisy. Really loved that there were 2 bathrooms in the 2 bedroom apartment. We stayed with another couple so that suited us perfectly. Very well equipped apartment. Would definitely stay here again as it is very reasonably priced.

Reception attitude the only issue
The website says reception open til 6.00 pm. I was phoned by receptionist and asked if I could check in before 5 - I advised I couldn’t and had planned around the advertised 6.00 pm. I got a barrage from the receptionist who said she was the only one there and that I couldn’t expect her to work for 9 hours! Very angry and unfriendly. Next morning got a message asking whether I had taken the keys - they were left in the room as reception was closed when I left. Message then said she would check the room ( after asking whether I had taken them). All good apart from poor service.

Hi Marjorie, I'm sorry you found me to be unpleasant on the phone - I was trying to explain that our office hours have now changed from 9 - 6 to 9 - 5 as I am working alone now. I am so sorry that you believed our conversation to be of a negative nature, I had a lovely conversation with you and offered to give you my mobile number if you wished to check in after 5pm without having to use our 24 hour after hours intercom located out the front, as I live on site. I was unaware that my demeanor was "angry and unpleasant" but I will be taking your constructive criticism on board and be mindful when speaking with guests that I may be coming across different to how I intend or believe myself to be. In regards to the keys, it's a standard practice that if keys have not been returned by 10:30am to call and check that the guest hasn't accidentally taken them - this is a very common occurrence and easy to do! If we phone you straight away we usually can get the keys back without having to have them posted etc. I'll give you a call now to see if I can make things right with you - thanks for your review, I'm glad you found everything else good! Great 2 bedroom apartment in the thick of it, spacious and clean. Fantastic location however with that comes multiple surrounding bars and noise at night. We were awake til 3 the first night 😒

The apartments are well located to the James street area of fortitude valley, good restaurants,great shopping,15 minute walk to city centre but all transport options close by. $38 Uber from airport about 10 minutes drive and railway 7 minute easy walk through the valley.

It wasn’t perfect but it wasn’t bad either. There was gum stuck on the bathroom cabnet from a previous visitor and the fire alarm in the room had no battery and was sitting on the lounge room coffee table. The receptionist was lovely and fixed everything and offered me another room but at the end of the day she shouldn’t have had to do any of that. Other members of the m and a team have dropped the ball.

Convenient Fortitude Valley accommodation
M&A is very convenient if you need to access Fortitude Valley for business or entertainment. It is straight across the road from hotels and night clubs such as the Osbourne Hotel and not far to all the night clubs. It is also very close to James street famous for its cafes and shopping. If you need to access the city there is a bus stops straight out the front and only a 5 minute trip into the heart of the city. If you can get a unit high up it has some great views overlooking the city west.

Not as nice as my previous stay...
I stayed here 6 months ago in the Winter, and was really looking forward to staying here again this Summer, however I was a little disappointed. I booked a 1 bedroom "skyline" apartment both trips, however my first trip I was on the 21st floor, with an elongated room (i.e. a longer balcony & more view), and the second trip I was on the 17th floor, with a shorter/deeper layout, and less view. The room was also more worn-out, and less clean, with the bedroom floor needing to be vacuumed (although, there was actually a vacuum in the bedroom cupboard, which was appreciated). Both trips had the same scratchy living room rug, and uncomfortable small vinyl sofa/hard thin cushions, but comfortable beds (though the doona was worn out) & nice fluffy towels. I appreciated the little things that were present, like several packets of cleaning products (often I receive only one of each, pointless for a longer stay), the Nespresso machine, free bottled water in the fridge, clothes drying rack & reasonably spacious lay out. I love the the location of the hotel, the main reason I repeated my stay, it's right next to so many shops and restaurants, and not too far to walk to the train station or nightspots (too far in high heels though!). What disappointed me most was the state of the pool, it was pretty depressing (furniture/area in neglect). Also worth noting that there is no air-conditioning in the bedroom, only a ceiling fan.
