"honestly felt a bit bamboozled by the booking. The photos online clearly showed a sauna overlooking a hot spring, which was a big reason I chose this hotel. When I arrived, that feature simply did not exist at the property. It felt like false advertising, and that was pretty disappointing. The only relaxation amenity available was a hot tub with no jets. It’s basically just warm water. For a hotel promoting relaxation, that was a bit of a letdown. Like… come on. The room itself was alright—nothing spectacular, but it was clean and comfortable enough for a stay. The staff were very quiet, but they were polite and respectful. The breakfast selection was decent, but if you’re staying multiple days it gets repetitive pretty quickly. It would be nice if they rotated the options a bit, because eating the exact same breakfast every morning for several days isn’t great. Overall the stay was okay, but the misleading photos online really set the wrong expectation, which ended up being the most disappointing part of the experience."

"Really enjoyed our stop at The Hill - staff upgraded us to the main building (didn't realize i booked us into the cottages by mistake) and was very pleasant. Room was fine - a little small with an odd door out the bathroom to the patio - but was cute and cozy. Restaurant staff was nice and the girl at the front was really friendly and welcoming. "

"We booked a room specifically advertised as having a private bathroom and a bathtub. Upon arrival, we were informed that the photos on Expedia were “incorrect” and that only one room in the entire property actually had a tub — and it was already occupied. This was not a minor detail. The bathtub was the reason we selected and paid for this room type. We were offered “free breakfast” as compensation, which was confusing since breakfast is already advertised as complimentary in the lobby. Because the room we contracted for was not available, we declined the stay and were clearly told we would be refunded. The entire check-in interaction was recorded. As of this review, no refund has been issued. Travelers should be aware that the room type advertised may not match what is actually available upon arrival. We are now disputing the charge through our credit card company due to services not rendered. We would have preferred a straightforward resolution, but unfortunately that has not happened."

"We arrived very late, they left instructions on the reception window and a message here. Very nice to walk into a warm cabin and the hot tub. Plenty of kitchen equipment. Fast wifi, clean bathroom etc. Check out as easy as the check in. Will be back in the summer for sure and stay here"

"What a nice surprise. Kind of hard to find where to park. Go eat at the restaurant ….. so yummy. Breakfast was just ok, nothing spectacular. Love seeing cows and cats…..will be back. "
