Room at tram tracs

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have been satisfied (that’s why I came back). To my shock this time they gave me a room right at the tram track. See photo from my window. I would upload a video also but it doesn’t seem to be possible. Trams run frequently, are very noisy and shake the room. Windows are not isolated. And they wouldn’t give me another room. The cleaning staff had left, was the reason. So, no sleep in this room. The room is otherwise good. Except the strong mouldy smell in the bathroom.

Pretty hotel room but there were a couple of things I didn’t like. The smudges on the desk and the fact that the smudges came off when I started cleaning… I don’t feel the room was cleaned as well as it should have been. Generally, I sanitize any room I stay in. Though, I am usually sanitizing a spotless room. This hotel might also have plumbing issues. The smell of the bathroom filled the room, it was pretty unpleasant. The property just needs some upgrades. I have to say, the staff is wonderful. We only spent one night but they were extremely hospitable. Also, I had the best little croissants and cappuccino at breakfast time!

Good hotel in Montgomery

The hotel is not large but nice and quiet. Very polite reception staff. Good size room, also quiet. No free bottled water Tv did not work (they admitted that they had had something when I mentioned it at checkout). The restaurant seems to be nice but was closed on Monday evening. I was very tired so was happy to use room service. Breakfast okay but when I arrived a bit after nine (breakfast available until 10) most trays were almost empty. And when I took my breakfast items most trays became totally empty. They did not bring more until I was almost finished when another client made a remark about it. I will probably stay there again but if breakfast trays are empty I will immediately request more to be brought and not assume they do it on their own. But mostly I liked the hotel and as said, will stay there again.

But disappointed with my stay

Got woken up a lot from hotel noises and even a drinks lorry delivery to the hotel at 6am with a lot of banging. Bed wasn’t particularly comfy either which is a shame. I didn’t enjoy being at the front of the hotel with so much noise and the toilet also had plumbing that gurgled and woke me. Would potentially stay again as it’s so convenient to seeing friends but feel a bit disappointed with my stay!
