A lovely hotel right in the heart of the town. Very good customer service. Be warned that there are steps throughout the building which made it tricky for our aged parents however we managed to change their room to one without steps to the bathroom with no fuss. Bar service was excellent, we didn't get to down there but the food looked great.

Beautiful decorated hotel. The staff were welcoming on arrival. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast there and each time, the food was lovely and staff were attentive. Reasonably priced as well. The room was clean and accommodating although very warm room!

From the gorgeous hotel exterior as you walk up to it, to the incredible interior, wonderful staff and beautiful room...where to start! The hotel itself was incredible wherever you went, with fantastically friendly and attentive staff everywhere you looked! The Eaterie restaurant, the bar, lounge and even The Vaults for a brilliant Sunday Lunch were terrific as well. To top it all off, the room was absolutely perfect as well! It is a very easy decision where to stay when we come back to Bury St Edmunds, and it is right back at The Angel Hotel every single time! Stunningly brilliant stay!

They handle the challenges of limited parking very well. Charming and v helpful and responsive staff. Fantastic breakfasts, lots to do within hotel and nearby. Great location. Will go again!

Very comfortable, spacious room and friendly, helpful staff. Great central location. Breakfast was very good but though I’d suggest they change is their breakfast bacon supplier - it was fatty and greasy. I’ve stayed at The Angel a few times now and each time it has been a very pleasurable experience.

Love this hotel for its position and its character

This was my third stay at The Angel....love the hotel and the position is great. With the free parking and being in centre of town it is perfect. Love the shops nearby too but a special shout out goes to Steve the incredible cheerful concierge who went out of his way to help and seemed to be juggling several things at once incredibly effectively. It was a Bank Holiday weekend and so the hotel was very busy.
