“Lovely hotel, but limited view from our room of the castle wall. Breakfast was not very good, but a lot of variety. Good coffee, but the pain au raisin was undercooked and still raw dough inside. The hot water took a very long time to get through to the shower and in the morning it was only Luke warm. Bed was comfy and pool cool but clean. Free bottle of wine in room was nice.”

The rooms are quite dated and, in our opinion, do not feel particularly luxurious. Our room also wasn’t cleaned on one of the days, despite us being out at the pool for the entire day.
The main pool area was another disappointment. The sun loungers and seating are very basic, with no cushions, and the pool service was very limited. Cups and glasses were left on tables throughout the day without being collected, which...
