Grupotel Mar de Menorca

"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and its convenient location just 15 minutes from the airport. We stayed in a one bed apartment which was spacious and nicely furnished/decorated. We were staying on an all inclusive basis but it was great to have the small kitchen facilities in the room. The hotel itself is made up of blocks of rooms either over 2 or 3 floors and the gardens/grounds were well maintained and made for a lovely setting. We liked the configuration of the pool areas which meant it catered for those travelling without children but also families too. We stayed mid June and there was absolutely no problem getting a sun bed at anytime. These were comfortable too and umbrella’s were plentiful. There was lounge outdoor seating for drinks away from the pool. Food at the hotel was good offering a wide selection at all meals. I’d seen comments about food not being hot enough but only experienced this from the pasta station. Our only disappointment regarding the food was the actual dining room which is in the basement of the hotel offering no views and quite a noisy experience each meal time. We have left feedback at the hotel about this as this could be improved by using some dividers so it feels less like a canteen. You can eat upstairs outside but only from the snack bar. Wine glasses in the restaurant are small tumblers so we resorted to getting a glass from the bar upstairs and taking it in to dinner. Great staff at this hotel, very accommodating we’d stay again."

"This hotel delivers on all fronts, as a first time guest I found the staff are so friendly and genuinely helpful, not to mention a a clean, modern hotel within minutes of the centre shops and restaurants. The breakfast is continental but if you are into healthy eating this is the breakfast buffet you want. There is complimentary food/snacks and drinks/ refreshments during the day that adds that extra convenience with a tranquil area to relax in by reception. I wish more hotels were like this. They do have a rooftop pool and jacuzi with great views. Thanks for a wonderful stay."

"Beautiful room with a beautiful view. Slight issue with some drain smell that appearead some time, possibly due to winds, as said by reception. Food is plenty at the buffet."

"A beautiful position with wonderful views of the sea and across the island. A spotlessly clean hotel. I think it’s a few years since it had a refurbishment and some areas looked a little tired but well maintained on a day to day basis. Food is well presented. There is a good selection and it is fresh and tasty. Staff are very friendly in restaurant, bars and reception. Lovely clean pool and surrounding area. A couple of small cons.. rooms are very small and there is limited storage space. There are plenty of sunbeds but not always easy to find shade. All in all far more pros than cons and I would happily visit again"

Grupotel Tamariscos

"We stayed at the Grupotel Tamariscos for 5 days in mid June. We had a lovely relaxing beach break. The views from the rooms over the sea and cove are stunning. Large, clean rooms with good housekeeping service and lift to all floors. Air con, small kitchenette, big sofa and large balcony. Both pools are lovely and never an issue getting a sunbed any time of the day. Breakfast was good but not great, and there’s a limited snack bar from 11am. Great location for Cala n Bosch harbour and restaurants, short walk to the lighthouse and the beach is 1 min walk. Amor di Gelato at the hotel entrance does amazing ice cream. Would definitely stay here again, the staff made us feel very welcome."

"The hotel was just what we needed for our short stay. A clean and roomy apartment and the pool was always nice and quiet so plenty of sunbeds available. Shade was pretty minimal around the pool so you had to be lucky to get one of the cabanas with shade or the 1 umbrella. Breakfast was good with lots of choice and the staff were all lovely and very helpful."
Barceló Hamilton Menorca - Adults Only

"This was our 4th stay at Barceló Hamilton. Do book a room with a sea view balcony, it’s worth it, as in the welcome shade later in the day. Marvellous view of the harbour with sea traffic all day. Appreciate the rooftop jacuzzis, complemented by large “courtyard” pool and separate covered pool in addition. Easy bus ride (or 30 min walk) into Mahon from where the whole of the island is accessible and 10 min walk round the corner to Cala Fonts full of restaurants and shops. Highly recommended."
Lago Resort Menorca Casas del Lago - Adults Only

"Room was lovely and clean, bed was sooo comfy we slept until 9am every day! Foodie experience was a really fun way to explore the restaurants around the port. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the pool area is great especially the Bali beds. Spa was nice but wasn’t expecting the additional cost to go in and use the facilities, the gym was a little outdated and could do with some more machines/ weights Overall very good hotel in a beautiful area"
