Dear guest, It would have been helpful if you would have given us your name or, at least, the reason why you rated us with 1. If you are who we think you are… you are the persons that booked our smallest room, the Native Cottage, that sleeps maximum 2 persons. On the check in date you showed up with a group of 12 people and wanted to “squeeze in all of them” (your words), which we obviously didn’t allow. Your request for extra rooms couldn’t be accommodated because our resort was fully booked at the time. You cancelled the room on site but we couldn’t restitute the money you paid because of our cancelation policy, to which you agreed upon booking on the Expedia Website, which charges the first night on cancelation within 7 days prior to arrival. We are sorry to say that your terrible experience with Isla Hayahay Beach Resort and Restaurant is totally self inflicted by you but we are still sorry that you had to experience this. Dear Gordon Thanks for your review, but could you please clarify what you mean? As far as we remember you were here with your son and your daughter in law, rented some motorbikes one day and seemed to enjoy our resort. We actually had some good chats and some laughs together, and there was never a single complaint. So we really like to know a bit more what was wrong so we can also act accordingly. Kind Regards
