“Very good welcome by Juan! Super view and delicious food at the restaurant! Attention to shower door that is not sealing 100%, making a water mess on the floor.”

“The views are amazing! And the staff is very nice. Unfortunately the hotel breakfast was poor and of very mediocre quality. The dinner restaurant was a buffet with mediocre cafeteria quality items. Most surprising was the fact that the towels were ancient and yellowed badly needed replacement. The hotel needs a renovation if it is to become an attractive place. A pity since the location is truly phenomenal.”

“Our room was so musty smelling, we couldn’t tolerate it. They moved us to a different room, which was smaller but worth downsizing to avoid the musty smell. The rooftop pool was wonderful. Great location.”

“This was a nice hotel with an interesting history. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Unfortunately we were here in the transition from their winter to summer season & it was unusually warm weather. The room was stifling as the a/c couldn’t be turned on. They did try to help us but to no avail. We did appreciate the early check-in and the great breakfast.”

The view from our room over the Atlantik just a few metres away made for a powerful experience in its own right. The beach and historic town of Ribeira Grande are in walking distance. The very well equipped gym, two pristine and quiet pools and wellness facilities allow for restful downtime before after having been out all day. The massages are excellent. ...
