Stating at Banksia boutique hotel was a dream! We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful old villa, well appointed amenities and friendly and welcoming staff. We felt very safe and still extremely close to everything in Cape Town - it is situated at the bottom of Table mountain, in a quiet little neighbourhood. Excellent and freshly made breakfast every day gave us a great start to a week full of fun and exploring this beautiful part of the world. Thank you so much😊

The property is beautiful, the staff were exceedingly friendly and we got another room, as the aircon in our first room was broken, the treatments at the spa are really nice, breakfast was prepared with attention to detail. Very good value for money.

Gorgeous gem in the Southern Suburbs
It is always an exceptional experience at Banksia! The building is gorgeous and all the rooms are unique. The mountain view is a CAPE Town iconic postcard. The staff is kind and accommodating both managing the property and preparing and serving the stunning breakfast. Hope i can continue to return.

Our stay
A beautiful building in a very attractive suburb of Cape Town. The property is very clean and the room is comfortable although the two large armchairs in the bedroom we used rather cramped the space and were unnecessary. The overall condition is good, but now a little tired in places. It would definitely benefit from a professional update which would really make this period property amazing.

日本から滞在しましたが、スタッフの方の素晴らしい対応と温かさに感謝しています。食べるところがないためウォーターフロントにいくかウーバーイーツ「あまりおいしくなかった」を頼むべきかと思います。周りにはなにもないため、観光を楽しんでウーバーで戻ってください。夜中は鍵をかけられてしまうので、何か必要なものは全て購入してからホテルに行くことをお勧めします。とても治安が良く、素晴らしいホテルでした！

Nydelig hotell, med hyggelig personale.
Vi hadde et kjempefint opphold på Banksia. Personalet er veldig hyggeliog hotellet er nydelig. Det er lett å komme i kontakt med personalet på forhånd. Det eneste negative jeg har å si er at sjåføren ikke hentet oss på flyplassen som avtalt. Hotellet fikk flydetaljene, men hadde ikke sjekket når flyet faktisk landet. Sjåføren hadde derfor møtt opp for tidlig på flyplassen og reist igjen uten at vi fikk beskjed.

Gorgeous spa hotel
Gorgeous and luxurious old style boutique hotel. The staff was amazing, breakfast lovely and filling. I liked the quiet residential area as well.

An eighteenth century colonial house beautifully renovated by the interior designer owner. Fabulous with lovely staff. Totally recommend.

This is a quiet, small property just off the beaten path in Cape Town. The staff is excellent, the rooms unique and well-appointed and the daily breakfast delicious.

Lovely, very quiet. Out of the way but easy Uber ride to everywhere. Room was large, comfortable, well appointed. Great breakfast. Staff accommodated our in and out timing

I stayed at the banksia for a little over two weeks. Staff are superb and I love the quiet atmosphere. Looking forward to returning next year.

Ruhiges und sehr schönes Hotel
Das Hotel ist ideal gelegen um Unternehmungen in und um Kapstadt zu Starten. Es ist ein kleines Boutique Hotel in ruhiger Lage. Das Viertel ist recht sicher: Man kann außerhalb auch joggen gehen. Ohne Auto würde ich aber keine Reise vagen. Das Hotel selbst ist - wie jedes Gebäude in Kapstadt - mit einer hohen Mauer, Stacheldraht und Video-Überwachung gesichert. Das Gebäude und der innen- wie außenliegende Garten, der Pool und die Zimmer sind top in Schuss und sehr ästhetisch eingerichtet. Der Service ist sehr nett, manchmal ein bisschen zu sehr (wirkt aufgesetzt, ist aber auch außerhalb so und offensichtlich kulturell bedingt). Das Frühstück ist das Einzige, was uns nicht gefallen hat. Hier war der Service unflexibel bei der Tischwahl und langsam. Der Kaffee war stets überbrüht und die Auswahl am Buffet gering: Bspw. gabs nur weiche Croissants als Teigware und zwei verschiedene Wurstarten zur Auswahl. Die Eierspeisen, welche das Personal auf Wunsch zubereiten, haben das nur wenig retten können. Wir haben uns dann entschlossen, außerhalb Frühstücken zu gehen. Die Auswahl an der Selbst-Bedienungsbar (neben Frühstückstischen und Pool), wo man sich jederzeit versorgen kann, ist in Ordnung, jedoch fehlen sämtliche Preisangaben. Im Zimmer gibt's sowas, jedoch nur für die Getränke der Minibar.

Exquisite hotel with excellent staff
I stayed in this hotel as it is very close to UCT campus, where I had meetings, but it would be equally suitable (and ideal perhaps) for a couple visiting Cape Town. Taxis/Ubers are cheap to get into downtown Cape Town. It is in a safe and friendly part of the city, and also close to the botanical gardens. It would be a terrific staging post for people wanting to travel in the surrounding area (it is also closer to the airport than downtown Cape Town).

Great food tired facilities
The room was comfortable except for the poor condition of the bathroom. Needs some basic maintainance to bring it back to a four star rating. Pool was disappointing and dirty. Hot tub not functional. The breakfast was excellent. Location very convenient.

Sehr gepflegtes Hotel in sicherer Umgebung
Die Zimmer sind luxuriös und gross. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und stimmig dekoriert. Gedeckter Pool, Spa-Bereich und sichres Parking, sehr hilfsbereites und freundliches Personal das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen.

Great hotel slightly off the beaten track
The Banksia is located away from the main tourist areas, but is very convenient for visits to UCT or to Kirstenbosch gardens, and the waterfront and other City attractions are not that far away. The hotel rooms are large and well appointed, with high ceilings. Breakfasts are very good with fresh baked goods and ample choice. The staff are very helpful.

Die Zimmer sind sehr ringhörig. Je nach Gästestruktur ist ein ruhiges Schlafen nicht möglich. Internet gibt es nur in 2 Räumen auf der gesamten Anlage. Sonst OK.

Magnifique endroit
Il s'agit d'une ancienne demeure qui a été rénovée avec bon goût. Nous avons apprécié le luxe, le charme et bien sûr le calme parfait de la propriété. Very nice hotel with friendly staff
In stayed 3 days in this hotel. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The place is beautiful as it is very different from the thousands hotels you'd find in cities such as Cape Town. It's unique, calm and very confortable with cosy sofas all around. Unfotunately there is no restaurant and no choice around. The wifi was really bad. But the price is very competitive and parking very easy to access.

Very nice small hotel, great staff and location great view of Table Mountain from some o the rooms, could do with getting swimming pool cleaned we where unable to use it which was a bit disappointing since it is fully enclosed and looks good in the photos

Rewarding relaxation at Banksia
We stayed for 2 nights and it's absolutely a genuine gem. Beautifully designed facility and rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast with a lot of variety. The neighborhood is a residential one, very quiet throughout the entire day and night. Value for money doesn't get any better than this place.
