"This place is a funny mix of nice and not. It's an old motel. The gardens are lovely. The pool is nice but not heated (had a swim but it was freezing on a hot day). The gym area is spacious but doesn't have any treadmills or rowing machines. The room was large and mostly clean and updated but feels dated. The tiled area at the entrance was dirty. The bathroom was modernised but smelled awful. The breakfast fridge was great. Noodles, yoghurt, cereal, fresh fruit, nut bars, flavoured milk, juice, croissants, coffee. Location is very central with easy access to the shopping centre."

"This is a beautiful centre to stay in. The staff were extremely helpful. There are great outdoor and indoor spaces to hang out in. The room was in great condition. Remember to check your email for a message on how to get in to the reception and don't forget your electricity key. A highly recommended spot to stay."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Ettalong Beach Tourist Resort. The resort is beautiful, with a lovely design and atmosphere. Our room was very comfortable and a good size for three people. We especially loved the balcony, which made the room feel very pleasant, and the air conditioning worked very well. One disappointment was the lack of a general lift. The only lift seemed to be for guests with accessibility needs. I completely understand the need for an accessible lift, but having at least one lift for general guests would be helpful, especially for people arriving with luggage. The pool was also extremely cold and basically unusable. We had been warned it was cold, but it was much colder than expected, and several children were visibly shivering. The spa was not working either and was also very cold. Interestingly, the ocean was much warmer that same day. We loved the Galleria downstairs. There is a great variety of restaurants, cafés and interesting shops, and we spent most of a rainy day there without getting bored. However, many shops closed around 2–3 pm. We were also very surprised that on Monday morning absolutely everything in the Galleria was closed, including restaurants, cafés, the bakery, ice cream shop and shops. Reception told us most venues close during weekdays and mainly open on weekends. This wasn’t clear on the website and would be important information for guests, especially families visiting during school holidays. We also really enjoyed the cinema,"
