Great hotel. Very close to SIUC, however it is very noisy. You can hear the train whistles all night, as well as loud music from the nearby bars until very late at night. The hotel itself is also noisy- you can hear your neighbors talking and pets barking. But overall a good value and good location.

Overall, this was a fine stay and the location is incredibly convenient, especially if you’re using Amtrak. Being directly across the street made getting in and out super easy. The room itself was decent and met basic expectations. That said, there was a faint cigarette smell in my room the entire time, which was hard to ignore. At night there was also a constant clicking noise that kept waking me up, which made it tough to get good rest

Great location and amenities around. Only negative is the weed skunk smell from the bar next door as you are getting out of the parking lot at night on wknds. Very Strong! I stayed here as a single female and always felt safe- great staff / great security and very friendly.
