"From the time we stepped into the hotel the receptionist was so helpful and accommodating to the fact we were 3 hrs early . The bar is very relaxing and spacious the staff couldn’t do enough for you . We had an evening meal which was spectacular. And breakfast what a menu beautiful. "The reception staff were wonderful - nothing was too much trouble. I left my phone charger at home and they lent me one for the weekend. The room was a single and clean, although the decor was dated (the description did say it was a Victorian building). I had breakfast both mornings at The Galley Restaurant which was an all you can eat. The food was hot and fresh and had everything you would expect for a buffet restaurant. I also ate in the hotel for the Saturday evening and was made to feel very welcome and at ease as a solo traveller. The food was nothing short of AMAZING! All in all, a lovely stay"

"Food is excellent and beds are very comfy. It's old-fashioned in that it's a conversion of an older building, so windows are single-glazed and the doors open with actual keys. But the rooms have everything you'd expect from a professionally run establishment. Staff are all friendly and professional though you sometimes have to seek them out – hardly surprising as there are only six rooms so they can't have someone permanently on duty."
