“My room was tiny, with poor ventilation, and there was no air conditioning. Despite extreme heat, the staff was unsympathetic and disinterested. Very poor customer service, overpriced, and not as advertised.”

“There is nothing good to say about this property! If you have a physical disability avoid it at all cost. There is no lift. The stairs are uneven as well as the floors itself.”

“This is a relatively expensive golfing hotel. Lovely room, with a nightstand and nice bathroom but no golf channel??? Golf for guests was overpriced. It is very keen on its wedding business to the exclusion of its paying guests. Has a number of rules to suit it rather than its guests. Staff at breakfast were lovely and a good breakfast but elsewhere they were not so guest focused. Our stay could have been a lot nicer for little effort.”

“Nice hotel with air conditioning in the rooms. Staff were friendly but only partially helpful. A child was running around and jumping in the room above us well until midnight and the reception only told us they would “check it out but couldn’t guarantee anything.” Did not stop after speaking with them and kept us up so long I got a migraine. One staff member was very helpful and brought me a bag of ice for it. Room was comfy but had some mold in the bathroom. Not sure if I would stay again.”

“I love Kinsale. This was my first stay at the Old Bank and I loved it too. Magical to sit and look out over this very pretty town and harbour from the window seat in my beautifully appointed room. I’ve never had a better breakfast than the one included; fresh fruit salad (good variety, perfect quality), eggs Benedict (golden yolks and perfectly poached, perfect ham and proper artisan bread toasted, chef quality hollandaise) and a blueberry muffin(with a surprise centre), everything top quality...

“The location was perfect for a visit to Blarney Castle and the Woolen Mill store next door was a plus. The beds were comfortable, and breakfast was delicious.”

“Wonderful staff, very helpful, clean room, superb and sumptuous breakfast, onsite parking, very fast internet. Unfortunately, with an ambient temperature of less than 14 Deg C in the area, and as there was no central heating or availability of a space room heater, the whole night was very cold for us and ended up with a sore throat, despite two layers of blanket over the quilt. It may be normal for locals, but for visitors from warmer part of the world, it`s very uncomfortable.”

“This is a quaint bed and breakfast (although we did not realize breakfast was not included with our Expedia reservation until we arrived). Super convenient to Ballymaloe Cookery School and we enjoyed a short drive to the beach as well. There are very few dining options in the area and everything closed very early so keep that in mind when planning your visit. We drove 30 minutes to find a open restaurant/bar to eat dinner. Wonderful coastal drive back to Dublin through Waterford.”

“The property is very nice. However, there isn't much to do there if you aren't golfing. Reservations are required to use the pool and there is very limited availability. Avoid the on-site restaurant- food and service are not good.”
