"This hotel is a little gem in Arequipa. Only a short walk to plaza de armas. The breakfast on the rooftop was very good and the view was magnificent. Overlooking the volcanoes and the cathedral. With early departure tours or checkout, the hotel prepared breakfast boxes for us and that was much appreciated. Also the hotel in house tours agency was very convenient. They helped us in organising private tours to Toro Muerto and Colca canyon literally the day before. Sure they might be more expensive that the various agencies around the plaza de armas but it was very practical and convenient. We initially stayed 4 nights at the hotel and booked another night on our way back from Cusco few weeks later because we really appreciated the hotel. Will definately stayed there if we ever go back to Arequipa."

"The staff are absolutely lovely. I proposed on this trip at the hotel itself, the staff were extremely professional and courteous. Myself and my now fiance could not think of anything wrong with our stay, it was a dream for us to be hosted at such an exceptional establishment and we plan to return next year. The location is also great, it's extremely close to the city centre ( centre d'armas). It's also within walking distance of everything you could hope for. I recommend the St. Catalina market. The food at this establishment is some of the finest I've encountered on my travels, I believe this establishment and the city of Arequipa gives anyplace in Spain a genuine run for it's money. If you book this establishment in Arequipa, you won't be disappointed."

"This review is tricky because I feel there are better rooms and we just got a bad one which is why I can’t give 5 stars Let’s start with the good. Loved the staff and location. You cannot get a hotel with a better location and the staff goes above and beyond. Do note that the view in the photo of the plaza del Armas doesn’t look like that right now. The trees are very over grown and the entire left side you cannot see. That isn’t the hotels fault but it was badly obstructed. Luckily you can go to other roof top restaurants for a better view Now for the reason I removed one star and almost more but I am sure I got a bad room because I find it hard to believe no one else has complained about the rooms… our room was so hot.. no AC and there’s just a fan and a sliding window that goes to a shaft that reaches outside. We would even leave our room door open to get some air flow but it didn’t help. The first night we were able to sleep with the sliding glass open… the second night… we had neighbors who apparently had full access to this shaft location cause they were standing right in front of our bed …. It was totally nuts. On top of that we could hear them talking the entire night because we had to have some air in our room and left the window open This hotel is not the place if you want rest. It’s loud from everyone leaving early on their hikes and even more loud if you get our room and have to basically hear your neighbors."
