Fantastic stay!

We had the most incredible stay here! The staff were so warm and friendly, nothing was too big an ask. The restaurant down the road is fantastic, and you can order pizzas from the local town. I was there for 3 nights without a car and it wasn’t an issue (as long as you’re willing to go to the same restaurant multiple times). The pool was fantastic, the views across the valley even better and we just couldn’t recommend it more!

We loved our stay here! The scenery is beautiful. We felt like we were all by ourselves in a villa in the countryside, yet had the amenities of a hotel, which were greatly appreciated. The kids loved the addition of the ping pong table and dart board and loved the pool, but would’ve liked it even more if it had been heated. Then I’m not sure we would have been able to leave.

Great stay just outside of Castellina in Chianti. The swimming pool is beyond beautiful, overlooking the mountains. The location is also convenient with a restaurant at end of the street and a quick drive to Castellina or Sienna. Onsite wine tasting was also fantastic and staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downside in summer is lack of air conditioning in the apartments. Adding AC would make this place a 10/10 stay. Will definitely be returning for more vacations at Borgo.

Definitely a highlight of our Euro trip. Situated on top of the Tuscany mountain range. The property is straight up stunning. Awesome for family or romance. The infinity pool area is even more breathtaking then illustrated in photos. The wine was incredible. The breakfast was fresh with a farm to table-esq feel. Nearby to village with awesome traditional restaurant options. Rooms were a little dated, but bathroom had a royalty feel to it. Overall, wished we stayed there much longer. Could live there ;) Highly recommend.

We booked this hotel kind of last minute when our travel plans changed and we needed a place to stay for one night. The hotel and grounds are absolutely beautiful, although the drive up is a little dicey! (Very bumpy road!) The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is not at all convenient for someone with mobility issues. I recently had both knees replaced and the climb up to reception from the parking area almost did me in. The staff were wonderful and upgraded our room and allowed us to park closer to where our room was, but it was still a lot of stairs to get up to our room. The room was nice but a little musty. I suppose that's to be expected in an old building like this. The bathroom was amazing! And the views from our room couldn't be beat. It's a great hotel for someone who is a little more spry than I am.

We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very helpful. Even offering to order pizza delivery for us as we don’t speak Italian. The rooms were great, beds very comfortable, and each room is air conditioned (I know previous reviews have said they weren’t. But they are). We had breakfast a few mornings and it was perfect for our family. There were a few times where the pool towels weren’t stocked and there are a couple small items that you’d get from a 5 star accommodation that you don’t necessarily get here. However, I’m a pretty picky person and I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. The nearby town had great restaurants and lovely shops and there is a Coop nearby if you want to prepare lunches or dinners in house. We used the pool daily and it was a great way to unwind daily complete with nearby fridges to store your apertivo.

We had an issue with the staff member - who denied to contact the pizza guy/delivery guy who had been waiting for us in the reception but we were never informed that he was there - so when we went to the reception to find out why the pizza was taking so long, I saw one car leaving when I arrived and only then she informed the guy waited for a while and had just left, so when I asked for her to call him asking for him to return since he was maybe 2 min away, she denied and was very very rude with us. I could not believe - the manager contact us but was way too late then - we had to order for another place and go pick up in the middle of the night as there was nothing to eat at the property. After that our stay was no longer pleasant.
