โCarol and Ceri looked after us very well, beginning with their greeting us at the front door on our arrival. The bed was comfortable and all room facilities excellent (lovely soft towels), except that the bedside lights are not bright enough for old eyes to read by. Breakfasts, prepared by Ceri, were top class; we really looked forward to coming downstairs each morning at 8.30. It was good to be made to feel part of the family, especially as we were able to chat to other guests at the breakfast...

โPet friendly , lovely enclosed large garden my dog was allowed to use , breakfast served in old pub area really historic & friendly helpful owners . Stayed in hikers number 1 , very clean & modern & everything provided with view of garden , easy to find & local pubs if needed . Hope to return . โ
โOur room was Yew and Eye, one of the newly built cabins in the garden of this historic inn with a twist. The design is like nothing weโve ever seen before with surprises every way you look. The room itself has human eyeballs as a decorative theme which was fascinating and amusing. The standard double bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of useful storage and good ventilation. โA really lovely place to stay, a perfect quiet and very pretty little village. The pub owners and bar staff were very welcoming and made a wonderful breakfast, and we had dinner there one night too which was fab!โ
โLovely and quiet location with comfortable, clean rooms, a good breakfast and with safe parking. The country house is just off the A21 within an easy drive from Hastings and St. Leonards. I would be happy to stay there again. โ
โThis is our go-to lodging when attending the opera at Glyndebourne. A wonderful, country house in Uckfield, set on beautiful, expansive private grounds. Comfortably and exquisitely furnished, it is always a pleasure to arrive and occupy the spacious common rooms and assigned bedrooms. As frequently encountered in England, old properties may lack some modern amenities Americans are used to like air conditioning and convenient USB charging ports.
