Top Cedar Keys National Wildlife Refuge Hotel Reviews
King's Bay Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"This motel was redone after sustaining significant flooding and it is absolutely gorgeous. The pool was a lil weird to me, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. I just haven't ever seen a pool like it before. Kitchen was stocked with all we needed to cook. You must clean up after yourself or you will be charged extra which is odd, but there are signs letting you know. So much space and the bed was way comfortable. Staff was awesome. Parking can be questionable if you and neighbors are all in big vehicles, but there is overflow that can be utilized. It is in a great location right on the water and you're not too far from bout anywhere you wanna go in Crystal River. This was our first stay at this motel and we were looking forward to returning before we even left. For the price and location, you just about can't do better."
"AC was noisy so I shut it off. Bed felt like you were laying on slats spaced a foot apart with a foam pad on top.
They cater to a lot of semi trucks so it's pretty noisy with them running all night. Mainly refrigerator trailers
Then hotel sends text messages and emails starting around 7:45 8 am. Asking you when you are checking out. So don't plan on sleeping in.
Plus side water was hot."
"my room was spacious as well as spotless …the grounds were so peaceful and the pool so clean ..i had a wonderful 2 week stay..everyone at North Coast were so friendly and helpful …i highly recommend…i’ll be back soon …thank you Connie and staff…"
"My only complaints center around air conditioning. The window unit was not strong enough to cool down the room quickly nor effectively, leading to my 2nd thing that bothers me. When we opened the door to our room at 9pm it was stifling hot, it took hours to even slightly cool down. I don't understand why you wouldn't go in earlier in the day at least and turn the unit on. That said, room was clean and the check in lady was very friendly."
