"I’ve learned my lesson to read reviews and do some research. This hotel is very dated and not well maintained. The rooms are small, double beds, mattresses and pillows uncomfortable, bathroom very worn out in every way. The hotel is pet friendly but the whole place smells like dog plus cigarettes plus Febreeze. The front entrance is litter with garbage and cigarette butts. The second night we were there was a Friday and we were woken up three times but loud commotion in the hall, the third a prolonged screaming and banging that resulted in another guest calling 911. Do not stay here if you have any other safe options. "

"The main area of the room (9th floor) was spacious but the bathroom is tiny! Elevators were packed at check-in/check-out times (allow for at least a 10 minute wait."

"Beautiful hotel. The Alpine King was perfect for our needs. The only thing we didnt know when we booked our stay is that all hotel amenities were closed due to renovation. We were expecting to enjoy Spa, pool, hot tub and restaurant/ room service but we were told at check in that we had to use other hotels amenities nearby. I would have definitely booked somewhere else if I have had known that. There were other unhappy customers at front desk also when we checked in. "

"I actually walked out of the Dennys restaurant as I was not being served. Chop restaurant on the other hand made up for the lack of service with exceptional servi e!"

"The reason we stayed at the hotel was to use the pool for my children. Unfortunately when we checked in. The pool wasn’t working and the staff asked us to use the next door hotel pool. We didn’t want to do that. It meant going outside and walking outside with wet hair. Unfortunately not a good idea with it being winter. That’s the only downside of staying at the pool. We travelled 2 hours away for a mini gateway. Was pretty disappointing not having a pool. "

"Room was spacious and clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well above average. Hot tub was only luke warm, had to have a hot shower after getting out just to warm up. Pool area was spacious and clean. In a bit of an industrial area with not much for amenities close by. Easy access to major roadways to easily get around the city"
