Location is awesome to with it being close to the train station and many other spots I like to visit. "The room wasn’t clean enough - there was hair on the floor and mattress.
There was no proper divider between shower and toilet. The whole floor in the bathroom got wet after you took a shower and it never dried up overnight.
Some noises could be heard during midnight."

The staff was also very friendly, accommodating and helpful - especially in helping us book transportation. Location is relatively convenient within walking distance to major attractions in Taichung. "If you are 6 feet or taller, you won’t be able to shower comfortably. I’m 6’3” and my shoulders were an inch from the shower ceiling.
Staff were helpful and super nice, especially with a last minute reservation.
There was no hand soap, so I had to use shower gel to wash my hands.
The mattress was very hard and thin. I could feel every spring, so I woke a few times during the night.
Figuring out the AC was fun, if you can’t read Chinese characters, make sure to use Google...
