Whatever it is, it was a distressing situation. Else, it was a nice hotel. It is however located in a quiet alley. It could be quite scary if you are arriving late at night."

I found it a bit difficult to communicate with reception due to the language barrier but they insisted on trying to help regardless and when the on duty receptionist didn’t understand, she was resourceful in asking her colleague. I saw quite a few complaints about noise levels..I’m from a big city so maybe I’m just used to it but this didn’t seem any more or less sound proof than the average hotel in a busy urban area.
