“Quinta das Lágrimas has such an important and interesting place in Portuguese history, which we enjoyed learning about during our stay. The old house and surrounding gardens are beautiful and romantic, even in the winter. Our room was in the spa wing, and it was large and comfortable, but the “Queen” bed was actually two twins pushed together (which is common in Europe), the shower flooded easily, and the bathroom door was extremely difficult to lock and unlock. “Friendly staff & good facilities.”

“Fabulous hotel - almost Belmond but not quite. Rooms are excellent (must comfortable beds with down pillows). Breakfast is superb. Pool service a bit sporadic but overall the staff were wonderful. ”

“Very spacious and modern place. Nice pools available, great kids playground. Very peaceful and tranquil. If anything, it was very windy when we were there, and also cool for the season, but otherwise, perfect stay.”

“This is a lovely clean and comfortable apartment. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend to anyone. We were met at the apartment by Filipa who gave us a brief rundown on the the apartment and left us a welcome basket with milk, bread, butter and jam. A very nice touch. ”
