"Beautiful property but we booked for the spa and the spa was not available due to staffing issues. It was very disappointing. Management tried to make our stay better but not before multiple hours/months spent getting the run around."

"The Novotel is in a good location for the motorway, it is a quite a long walk into the centre of Beaune or a quick drive. Parking is straightforward though. The hotel was very nice, rooms had good facilities and we had connecting doors which was useful for a family of 4. Swimming pool was a bonus on a hot day and towels were provided for the pool. Breakfast was lovely. We only stayed one night, but pleased we chose the Novotel."
Hotel Première Classe Chalon Sur Saone

"This hotel is ideally situated half way down through France. A very useful overnight stop if you are travelling further south. The staff are helpful and the rooms are clean. Not a huge room, but enough space for two people to share. There is a Camponile Inn on the same campus, which serves meals, or if you prefer a hamburger & chips, there's a Buffalo Grill about 150 yards down the road. We've stayed overnight here on many occasions as we've travelled from Calais to the south coast of France and have never had a bad experience."

"Our accommodations at Hotel St. Regis were good and provided us a perfect location to walk to and see the finish of Stage 12 of the 2026 Tour de France. Classic French building in the heart of Chalon-sur-Saone. Air conditioner was a little weak but we did what the locals do and opened the large floor to ceiling windows and that kept us comfortable for the night in spite of the ongoing heatwave. The hotel is on a busy street but is in walking distance of several plazas, the canal, and many restaurants. Also, there is dedicated and secured parking just a block from the hotel. If your travel plans include Chalon-sur-Saone, you should consider a stay in Hotel St. Regis!"

"A comfortable and fairly convenient option in Chalon-sur-Saone, The main restaurant areas are closer to the river so a bit of a walk, the staff were all very nice and the room was functional (no view, no frills) but clean and the bed was comfortable."

"Everything was fine except for the disappointing restaurant. A very limited menu and small portions. The main course food was well cooked and tasty but the creme caramel desert was completely lacing in flavour."
