Very friendly hosts, exceptional warmth and attention to detail. Very personal service nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good. Would highly recommend. Our stay was lovely thank you both.

Cosy room - great hosts.
Clean & cosy room - warm too. Bathroom was snug, but adequate. Staff were really helpful about the area. An excellent breakfast served.

Katherine and James are very friendly and thoughtful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were provided with all you could need including a multi usb charging plug, torch, hairdryer, kettle etc. such a nice comfy place to chill.

James and Catherine were excellent hosts; organized, friendly, helpful. The property is old as one can see and the rooms are cosy in size but contain all the amenities one needs. The breakfasts are wonderful and food allergies are catered for. Dining options are within comfortable walking distance. Parking is on the street outside and should be available nearby. We had a most enjoyable stay.

Would definitely stay again.
Could not have had a more pleasant stay. A very warm welcome, escorted to the rooms and had everything explained. Our rooms were spotless, adequately sized and with en suit. The parking was limited but we had no issue after 1700 getting a space outside. Breakfast was always out promptly at the time requested, the choice was plenty and quality was top. For a small town there are a few eateries for dinner, if you choose to eat local.

We had a very enjoyable one-night stay at Ammonite Lodge. Both James and Katherine are very welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed a delicious home-made breakfast. James’ granola deserves a special mention!

Great place and friendly staff
Lovely guest house laocted in an ideal location for links with Devon coats and Somerset. Amazingly friendly staff and a great breakfast.

We received a very friendly welcome before being shown to our room. The choices for breakfast meant everyone was catered for. Breakfast was very tasty and again there was a warm greeting. Nothing was too much trouble. We were offered recommendations for where we could eat in the evening and where to park. Our room was clean and comfortable and the price we paid was very reasonable. If we're travelling this way again we would definitely rebook.

Superb
Whether it’s a staging post on a longer journey or a base to explore, Ammonite Lodge is perfect. The rooms are spotless , comfortable and contains great products and facilities. The owners are incredibly welcoming- running the house seems as much a matter of love as well as business. We cannot fault the place and look forward to our next stay!

Amazing hosts
It was a flying visit for us but in the short time we were there we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The owners are just the sweetest couple - on their actions alone we would most definitely stay again! The room was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious.

Nice little B&B in Chard
We were visiting some friends in Chard and this was a great place to stay. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Room was nice and comfortable and breakfast was delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent overnight stay
From first being met by Katherine and James until leaving in the morning our hosts were amazing. Nothing was too much bother. We stayed in room six (the family room at the top) which was spotlessly clean along with the bathroom. Breakfast (pre ordered due to covid) was beautiful with top class ingredients. We will definitely return if in the area again.

Best location and such comfort
Lovely room with a spacious and airy bathroom. The whole guest house is so charming and confortable. Its in the best location, right in the centre of Chard so you can just walk to a coffee shop in less than 2 minutes.
