We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our top tips and you'll be zooming through the airport and seeing the best of Alamo in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, put in your passport, important documents, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling novel and a tablet filled with your favorite movies are some fantastic options. If you plan to take a quick nap, a quality neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll hop off the plane looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a Swiss Army knife hiding in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable substances, like aerosols and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to feel as comfortable as possible. Pick shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to take a jacket in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
