Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've prepared well. We've put together a list of handy tips that will help get your Climbach vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be easy if you take the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a few magazines. Next, find a spot in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, any vital medications and perhaps a cozy neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and gasoline, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The answer to a comfortable flight often lies in the clothes you wear. Prepare for changes in temperature by bringing layers. That way you'll stay nice and warm if the cabin starts to cool down. Shoes like stilettos, flip flops and lace-up boots are best left for other occasions. Instead, go for flat, closed-toed footwear like slip-ons. Your feet will thank you later.
- You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There are many ways to lessen your risk. Wear compression socks or tights, stay well hydrated and remember to keep your legs and feet moving. Wander around the cabin or perform exercises in your seat.
